As darkness sweeps around the globe every November, 25,000 people worldwide get up from their armchairs, slip on their red flashing armbands and pull on their running shoes to complete a 5k or 10k.
Connecting runners both physically and virtually across 4 continents, Run in the Dark is a global movement lighting up the night as people hit the road to walk or run 5k or 10k to help cure paralysis in our lifetime.
Most Run in the Dark events offer both 5k and 10k distance options; walkers are welcome to take part in 5k.
Pop-Up Events
Run in the Dark pop-ups are casual fun runs managed by our network of volunteers around the world. Pop-up events do not include road closures or chip timing and participants receive their armband at registration on the night of the event.
Pop-Up participants can time their 5k or 10k using a third party app of their choosing (Strava, MapMyRun, Garmin Connect, etc.) and join the global leaderboard with runners from 2,000 cities around the world.
Corporate Groups
Companies across the globe enter teams to Run in the Dark as a wellbeing, employee engagement, health & fitness, or sports & social initiative. A team leader prepays for minimum 5 entries, and group members complete the registration form to sign up.
