We do not collect any personal data apart from information that you specifically and voluntarily provide to us in the course of: making a customer service query; and signing up to Run in the Dark; registering your interest in volunteering at a Run in the Dark event.

When you register online, the transaction is fully secured and managed by our payment provider Stripe. This is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Disclosure of Personal Data
Any information that you provide to Run in the Dark is not made available to any third party except for the purposes outlined in this policy and is used by us for the purposes specified when it was collected.
Information that you share with us will be stored and managed by us with the greatest care and security. We never share (rent, sell, or exchange) personal data with third parties for the purposes of allowing them to market products and services to you, notwithstanding the provisions stipulated in this document.
In all cases we endeavour not to hold your sensitive personal data (date of birth etc) longer than is absolutely necessary. We permanently delete and or destroy this when the retention period, listed throughout this policy, has ended.
We may need to disclose personal information if required by subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes, or law enforcement agencies or other third party agencies, companies and organisations in connection with any legal investigation to help prevent unlawful activity, to protect our property, safety, or to establish or exercise our legal rights, and those of our visitors, clients, or others (including for the purposes of fraud protection) or to such entities in order to comply with any legal obligations.

• The Right to Restrict Processing: you have the right to tell us to stop processing your data. We will still hold your data, but we won’t use it.
Access to personal information
Run in the Dark tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’. If we do hold information about you we will: give you a description of the data; tell you why we are holding it; tell you who it could be disclosed to; and give you a copy of the information.
To make a request for any personal information, please email gdpr@runinthedark.org and list the categories of personal data you would like to access. We will reply to your request within 30 calendar days.
Run in the Dark aims to hold only accurate, complete and up-to-date data. If we do hold information about you, you can ask us to correct any mistakes, or to erase the personal data by emailing gdpr@runinthedark.org.

We reserve the right to change or amend this Policy from time to time. We encourage you to check this Policy occasionally to ensure you are aware of the most recent version that will apply each time you access this website. And we will do our best to inform you of the relevant changes.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Policy and all issues regarding our website are governed by the laws of Ireland and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
